Strive is a hands-on development programme designed for people in the early stages of their career who are ready to build new skills and progress with purpose.
Across eight tailored sessions, you will develop the confidence, communication techniques and leadership foundations needed to step up and stand out in the workplace.
Each session builds on the last, and will give you the tools and practical experience to take on greater responsibility and progress with purpose.
The sessions include:
Workshop 1 - Welcome Social: Kick things off with a social icebreaker activity, meet your cohort and trainers, and get a full picture of what the programme has in store.
Workshop 2 - Leading Self: Ownership, Confidence and Personal Impact: Explore personal objectives and goal setting, understand your workstyle and strengths, and develop the confidence to communicate with impact and manage stress effectively.
Workshop 3 - Leadership Foundations: Influence Without Authority: Build the core leadership skills that matter at every level, covering how to manage staff, and how to create stronger, more productive relationships.
Workshop 4 -Conflict Management and Difficult Conversations: Learn how to approach difficult conversations with confidence and develop the skills to navigate complex team dynamics in a constructive and professional way.
Workshop 5 - Communication for Managers and Leaders: Develop a more assertive communication style and build your emotional intelligence to become a more effective and influential communicator.
Workshop 6 - Managing Time, Projects and Stakeholders: Get to grips with delegation, prioritisation and managing small projects, and learn how to identify and manage stakeholder expectations with clarity.
Workshop 7 - Developing Others: Coaching and Mentoring Skills: Learn the fundamentals of coaching and mentoring and discover how to provide meaningful peer support and contribute to the development of those around you.
Workshop 8 - Leadership Showcase and Recognition Lunch: Round off the programme with a cohort presentation to line managers and senior leaders, celebrating the progress that you have made throughout the programme.
