Our Digital forum is tasked with driving a growing digital sector in Staffordshire, enabling businesses to freely exchange information, share best practice and discuss digital innovation, information communication technology (ICT) and other matters such as artificial intelligence (AI).
The forum has established two working groups:
·        Digital Skills Woking Group – (DSWG)
·        Digital Divide Working Group (DDWG)
DSWG is connecting businesses and training providers to create a local view of a digital skills pathway. This will provide learners (and where appropriate their families), with sign posting to technology specific learning opportunities and how the available courses can support a professional career development within the digital sector (and beyond).

DDWG is looking to address the digital divide and reduce “digital poverty” in our county. A brand-new community interest company (CIC) has been formed, called ‘Re-boot IT for all’.  The CIC will recycle unwanted mobile devices, wiping them securely clean and then offering to local community groups who support members of our community who struggle to access technology.

Meetings are delivered on a hybrid basis, with the option to attend in person or join remotely through MS Teams.
