What will I learn?
This course provides a practical overview of trading with the European Union following the UK’s exit from the EU. It is designed to help businesses understand how trading arrangements have changed post-Brexit and what is now required to trade compliantly and cost-effectively with EU customers and suppliers.
Specifically, we cover:
- Customs declarations and border formalities when trading with the EU
- EU VAT considerations, including:
- When EU VAT registration is required
- How EU VAT works for imports and exports
- Incoterms® and their impact on EU trade
- Key risks and responsibilities
- Changes affecting DDP shipments via France
- A brief overview of Commodity Codes and why they matter
- The UK–EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA)
- Rules of Origin and how they can be used to reduce or eliminate duty
How will I learn?
This is an interactive and practical course designed to give you a clear understanding of the requirements for trading with the EU today. There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and discuss real-world scenarios relevant to your business.
This would be run as a half day course.
