UK-India FTA

The UK and India recently signed an FTA, this will reduce barriers for UK businesses exporting to India and open new commercial opportunities. The agreement has been signed and now needs to be ratified by the Governments of both countries before it enters into force and businesses can begin benefitting from it. Hence the next few months are the ideal time for businesses to learn more and consider how they can maximise the opportunities of the agreement when it comes into force.

CPTPP

The Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) is a free trade agreement between the UK and 11 Asia-Pacific countries. The UK formally joined in December 2024. Canada has recently agreed to ratify the UK’s accession, meaning UK companies will soon benefit from improved trade terms with Canada.
