Knife crime is a growing crisis across the UK, with over 45,000 offenses recorded in England and Wales in 2023.

Staffordshire based Black Onyx Academy presents the Save a Life Today (S.A.L.T) Workshop, an expert-led training session designed to give professionals and businesses essential knowledge and emergency response skills to create safer communities. Delivered by experienced professionals with real-world expertise, this practical, hands-on training is ideal for educators, business owners, retail workers, community leaders, emergency responders, and law enforcement, providing crucial expertise to handle real-world situations effectively.

What You’ll Learn: Participants will learn essential life-saving skills, including first aid and catastrophic bleed control to respond effectively in emergency situations. The training covers conflict management and de-escalation techniques, to provide individuals with strategies to reduce tension and prevent violence. Additionally, attendees will develop situational awareness, helping them to recognise and mitigate potential threats. The workshop will also include a comprehensive overview of knife crime laws and reporting procedures so that delegates will understand relevant legal frameworks and compliance. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a nationally recognised certification accredited by Highfield.
