Enjoy an uplifting morning that celebrates women’s achievements and ambition - and opens the door to inspiring connections and opportunities to grow.
This year’s keynote speakers share two extraordinary and inspiring stories of entrepreneurial drive:
Lucie Macleod, founder and CEO of Hair Syrup, is one of the UK’s most exciting young entrepreneurs. In 2019, as a university student frustrated with damaged hair, she created her own all-natural, cruelty-free hair oils. The products went viral on TikTok and quickly grew into a thriving brand now stocked in Boots, Urban Outfitters and Beauty Bay.
After pitching Hair Syrup on BBC’s Dragons’ Den and being rejected, Lucie used the experience as motivation, applying the Dragons’ feedback to accelerate the business’s growth. Hair Syrup later placed 13th on The Sunday Times 100 list, with Lucie named Young Founder of the Year and Everywoman Business Woman of the Year. Lucie will share insights on growing a brand from a personal idea into a national success, and the lessons she’s learned along the way.
Shamila Iqbal is the co-founder of Bathroom Mountain, a business built on courage and belief during one of the most challenging periods in recent history. Founded during the COVID pandemic in Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, the company began with a small, determined team where everyone rolled up their sleeves - picking and packing orders, answering phones, and supporting one another to make the business work. Today, Bathroom Mountain operates from a 300,000 sq ft warehousing and is targeting a £150 million turnover for 2026.
Inspired by her Father’s legacy at Tile Mountain, Shamila was determined to create her own story. Her leadership is shaped by hard work, humility, and a strong sense of community, and she is passionate about empowering people, particularly women, to back themselves, lead with confidence and build something meaningful.
Hosting the event is Kirsty Hulse, award‑winning confidence coach, author and founder of a global training company that has worked with major brands including Virgin Atlantic and IBM. Known for her humorous and energising approach, Kirsty will guide the day’s conversation and help turn inspiration into action.
You’ll leave inspired, energised and ready to take your next step with confidence.
