After the sell-out success of last year’s event, join us once again as Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce celebrates International Women’s Day, featuring three incredible speakers who have blazed trails in their industries and inspired others to do the same.
Our headline speaker, Alana Macfarlane, co-founder of The Gut Stuff, will share her inspiring journey from her early days as a DJ to becoming a pioneer in the gut health industry. Alana will reveal the challenges she overcame as a woman in business, the strategies she used to build The Gut Stuff into a trusted brand with products now available in retail stores across the country. She’ll offer her advice on starting and growing a business, sharing her top tips for budding entrepreneurs looking to develop their ideas and how to cultivate a thriving community around a brand. Alana will also share her extensive knowledge of gut health and how it influences both physical and mental well-being.
We are also excited to welcome Dr. Eve Davies, Co-Founder and Communications Director of ProtectaPet Ltd, a Staffordshire based company dedicated to ensuring the safety of cats outdoors while providing their owners with peace of mind.
Under Eve and Simon's leadership, ProtectaPet has grown into an internationally recognised leader in their industry, winning the prestigious King’s Award for Innovation in 2023. Eve also serves as an Export Champion for the Department of Business and Trade and as Deputy President of the Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce, playing a key role in representing the region on the global stage. Eve will share her story of entrepreneurial spirit and how her passion and drive have made a difference to her sector and to business in Staffordshire.
The event will be hosted by the multi-talented Hannah East, a comedian, host, and presenter extraordinaire. Hannah has built a strong reputation in the entertainment industry, with a career that spans comedy, broadcasting, and live hosting for Sky Sports and The Olympics. Alongside her presenting career, Hannah also runs an online fitness business, helping mums to build strength, fitness and improve mental health.
